Count the motorcycles as the parade arrives at the Fairgrounds and report the final total to NCTR Leadership. This position is stationed outside near the arrival route.

Staff the special bike, scooter, and skateboard area. Help children who request one of these items, offer available helmets when possible, protect the inventory, and follow direction from NCTR Leadership.

Welcome and check in volunteers and families. Issue volunteer lanyards; verify each family's name, time slot, and number of children; direct checked-in families to wait for a Shopper; answer questions; and alert NCTR Leadership to translation or accessibility needs. Family information must remain private.

Monitor an assigned doorway, keep foot traffic moving in the correct direction, and prevent unauthorized entry or exit. Remain at your assigned door and contact NCTR Leadership if assistance is needed.

Work in the food area and follow instructions from NCTR Leadership to give each family the correct holiday meal, side bag, and any additional food. Explain the limits for the extra-food section and help keep the line and tables organized.

Assist older children—typically ages 14 and up—at the gift card table. Distribute one gift card per child as directed, keep the area organized, and ask NCTR Leadership for guidance on eligibility or other questions.

Staff the NCTR merchandise table during motorcycle arrivals. Keep items organized by type and size, help guests find merchandise, and follow instructions from NCTR Leadership for purchases and inventory tracking.

After the motorcycles leave the Rood Center, walk the staging area and parking lot, pick up trash, and make sure the property is left clean. This is an outdoor role involving walking and light cleanup.

Meet a family after shopping, escort their loaded cart to the parking area, help load toys, gifts, and food into their vehicle, and return the cart to the designated side door. This role involves repeated walking outdoors and handling loaded carts.

Complete the final event-day setup before families arrive: arrange and dress tables, organize toys by age group, place decor and supplies, and make sure each distribution area is ready to open.

Set up tables and chairs, dress and decorate tables, organize toys by age group, prepare the space for incoming toy donations, and complete other setup directed by NCTR Leadership. This role involves moving tables, boxes, and supplies.

Escort one family through the toy and food distribution areas, explain the day's item limits, and help the children select gifts while keeping the process fair, respectful, and organized. When shopping is complete, hand the family and cart off to a Runner.

Take down and put away tables, chairs, temporary walls, decor, and supplies; organize leftover items; sweep floors; and take out trash. This is an active cleanup role that may involve lifting and carrying.

Work behind the toy tables to sort incoming toys into the correct age groups, restock displays from floor or back-stock, and help smaller children reach items. Keep the area organized and avoid stacking toys so high that they could fall.
